NAVTA opens its First Vietnam Office in Ho Chi Minh City

Mr. Dinh Tran, President of North America-Vietnam Trading Agency (NAVTA) announced the opening of NAVTA’s first office at 197 Phan Van Han in the Binh Thanh District of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. The offices are strategically located in one of the busiest sections of the city centre offering convenience to several key routes and to the airport.

Mr. Tran, a former resident of Ho Chi Minh City, states that he is delighted with the modern 3 story office building complete with all the necessary services to communicate and work in the global marketplace. NAVTA has appointed Nguyen Thi Yen as its Chief Representative Officer to oversee its daily operations which include a local staff specializing in product sourcing, negotiating, manufacturing agreements, immigration, business consulting and import/export activities.

Mr. Tran stated that NAVTA will be expanding into a second office building next May 2006 in Hanoi which is the country’s capital in Northern Vietnam.

NAVTA prepares to open Vietnam Office in June 2005

The CEO of NAVTA is pleased to announce that Dr. Pham Thi Thu Hang, Director of Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion Center for the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce & Industry (VCCI) signed an agreement with North America – Vietnam Trading Agency, Inc. (NAVTA) on March 4, 2005 permitting NAVTA to establish a “WEB PORTAL to highlight Vietnam’s Gateway for Products and Services.”

The creation of a WEB PORTAL – Vietnam’s Gateway for Products and Services will build a North American targeted internet online presence for the participating members of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce & Industry (VCCI). This members’ only web-portal will introduce North American businesses to the vast potential of Vietnam’s products and services. The focus will be on generating Vietnamese business trade inquiries; building awareness of Vietnamese companies’ product and service offerings; developing a communications link and contact program between North American and Vietnam businesses; providing its’ members a training library and e-newsletter campaign, and providing the VCCI with an administrative site.

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce & Industry (VCCI) is the key organization in Vietnam representing business with a membership of over 7000 companies that are involved in business both domestically and internationally. Trade Mission to Vietnam Planned for October 2004

NAVTA founder Dinh Tran will be hosting a number of key clients in an upcoming trade mission to Vietnam, the company has recently announced.

“Several large Canadian and American clients have expressed interest in accompanying us as we meet with government officials and manufacturers,” said Dinh Tran. Introductions and scheduled meetings with key government and business officials are being made through Vietnam's Trade Ambassador to Canada.

The 10-day trip is scheduled for October 16 and will include visitations of three major industrial centres. A number of reputable manufacturers and several government officials have offered to receive the group. Proposed activities will include site visits, trade meetings and cultural events.
